Write Through It: The Efficient
and Creative Author
(ECA-10)

Overview

This course equips professional authors with structured systems that improve productivity without sacrificing creativity. It addresses manuscript planning, research organisation and disciplined drafting methods that reduce structural rewrites. Participants learn how to manage deadlines realistically while maintaining quality, replacing reactive writing habits with deliberate, pre-structured workflows.

My approach to writing is grounded in architecture before ornament: clarity of structure, logical sequencing of ideas and disciplined research design come first, allowing creativity to operate within a coherent framework rather than in tension with it. I emphasise planning as a strategic act, not an administrative burden, outlining arguments rigorously, mapping progression and identifying potential weaknesses before drafting begins. The course also explores sustainable creative practice and long-term output management, helping writers balance intellectual ambition with reliable delivery. It is ideal for both experienced and emerging professional writers seeking to combine originality with professional consistency.
