Overview
Much professional writing fails not because of a lack of effort, but because it prioritises jargon, volume and internal perspective over clarity, structure and audience needs. Clean, Clear and Simple is a focused one-day workshop that challenges those habits and replaces them with disciplined, reader-centred techniques. The course shifts attention from impressive-sounding language to the clear communication of information, from unfocused drafting to structured persuasion, and from reactive editing to a streamlined research–writing–review process. Participants learn practical editorial methods that raise credibility, improve efficiency and strengthen the impact of everyday business communication. The learning objectives below set out the specific capabilities developed during the workshop.

  • Replace confusing ‘bizspeak’ with simple and well-structured writing 

  • Understand what your clients really need to know (as opposed to what you want to tell them)

  • Improve the persuasion and impact of written communications.

  • Find the most efficient approach to your research–writing–editing process 

  • Improve the credibility of the writing through professional editorial techniques.

  • Apply the new writing strategies to common types of communication, e.g. emails; letters; memos; marketing materials; web copy; reports.
